Girl Scouts donate to eating disorders center in Summit

Parsippany Troop created activity boxes to help ease pediatric patients at Overlook Medical Center

SUMMIT, NJ - APRIL 2018 - Members of Girl Scout Troops 96253 and 96252, both from Parsippany, stopped by Overlook Medical Center in Summit on Wednesday, April 4, to deliver several Jared Boxes that they filled and donated to the Pediatric Eating Disorders Center at Atlantic Health System Children’s Health. The boxes are filled with things like bubbles, stress balls, journals, coloring books, and other items to help patients cope during treatment.


The Pediatric Eating Disorders Center at Atlantic Health System Children's Health, based at Overlook Medical Center, provides Family-Based Treatment and focuses on outpatient care so that patients can remain close to home and their families can fully participate in the recovery process.
