Heads Up! Road Work Planned In Summit This Week

SUMMIT, NJ — If you're traveling around Summit this week, you may want to leave a little extra time for your commute.

The City of Summit is advising residents that road work is scheduled at multiple locations throughout the city from Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5. Road closures and detours may be in effect, and officials noted that schedules could change as utility companies update their work plans.

Here's where work is currently scheduled:

Monday, June 1

• Springfield Avenue at Passaic Avenue (7:30 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m.)
• Canoe Brook Parkway at Canoe Brook Place (7:30 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m.)
• Ashland Road near Elm Place (8 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m.)
• Laurel Avenue (8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.)
• Prospect Street at Blackburn Road (8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.)
• Chatham Road at River Road (8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.)
• Oak Ridge Avenue near Greenbriar Drive (8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.)
• Larned Road at Prospect Street (8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.)
