Health and Wellness Expo for Women Entrepreneurs

Come meet nearly 20 women who have taken the plunge and are pursuing their own businesses in this growing industry at the October 2 Summit/N

Have you ever thought about writing a “healthy” cookbook? Or explored the possibility of getting a yoga/pilates certification? What about consulting or teaching about healthy lifestyles? Or working in the medical field? The possibilities for a career in the health and wellness industry are limitless. Come meet nearly 20 women who have taken the plunge and are pursuing their own businesses in this growing industry at the October 2 Summit/New Providence B.I.G. (Believe, Inspire, Grow) meeting. The meeting, from 10-11:30 am at Twin Maples, 214 Springfield Ave. in Summit, will explore some of the many opportunities available, as showcased by talented members of the group who have chosen to build their career in this field.
Some are pursuing a passion, others are using the skills and knowledge they found in their own family lives to help others. The presentation will include brief overviews from these entrepreneurs:

• Suzi Brown, manager at Bari fitness studio

• Diane Hogan, spiritual health/financial coach, Intuitive Cents
• Kate Motz, Integrative Wellness Advisors
• Etya Novik, Salt Therapy
• Camellia Redmerski and Nekki Robinson, owners Momentum Cycling & Fitness
• Lisa Sanderson, holistic health coach
• Yeon Shim, podiatrist
• Betsy Stoeber, Brain Balance Achievement Center
• Janice Zunde, health and nutrition
• Rebecca Ryan, Flavor Your Health, nutrition and heath coach
• Jodie Pelinsky, consultant Thrive with Jodie healthy, easy meals


A question and answer period will follow brief presentations from each panel participant.

“This exciting program will allow those thinking about launching a business in the blossoming health and wellness industry an opportunity to talk in person with those women who have actually taken the plunge and have launched businesses in the field,” said Pod Leader Melanie Wilson. “In addition, it will give our participating members an opportunity to practice and perfect their own ‘elevator pitch’ as they have this unique opportunity to present their success and challenges to all the supportive women in the room.”


This panel will be of interest to not just those looking for a career in health and wellness, but to any woman with an entrepreneurial spirit who is looking to pursue their passion by launching a business doing what they know best, or love most.

Each month, B.I.G. offers an educational program for its members and guests. The Summit/New Providence pod has a membership of over 70 talented, creative and inspiring members who share business ideas, challenges and suggestions with each other.


B.I.G. strives to empower women at all stages of their professional pursuits, from stay at home mothers looking to re-engage in the workforce, to seasoned entrepreneurs and career executives looking to make a change. “We provide support and education and always embrace women’s desire to connect with each other,” Wilson said. “Wherever you are in your life at this time, B.I.G. is a great vehicle to help you move forward.”
