Two thoughts! First, the President does not have to commit a “crime” in order for him to be impeached. As we all know, impeachment is more of a political issue, rather than a criminal one. In this case, there will most likely be no impeachment of President Obama. Second, in order for Obama to even consider resigning, there would have to be significant pressure from his own party to do so. And, that would require some of the so-called leaders of the Democratic party to finally step up and honor their oath of office to “support and defend the Constitution”, not to support and defend the leader of their party. At the moment, the odds of the Democratic leaders discharging their sworn duties seem rather slim. But, in a few more months, one never knows!
