Hilltoppers Take Down West Morris Lacrosse 16-7

An effective offense was one of the keys to the Holltoppers' success against West Morris in Saturday's home game at the Tatlock Sports Complex.

Going into halftime, the team, the Summit team led 10-6, but it was in the second half that the offense exploded, scoring six goals to win the match 16-7.

"Offensively we continue to be pretty effective," Boys Lacrosse Coach Jim Davidson said after the game. He said the team knew what to expect, and they were prepared. "They came ready to play."

The Hilltoppers will head to Glen Rock on Wednesday to face the 2-7 Panthers in a regular season match-up.

"At this point, we have to continue to play well in the next two weeks," Davidson said, pointing out that the team will pull out all the stops with the state tournament coming up in just a few weeks.
