It's a Muppets Purim!
The Purim story retold in musical comedy parody for kids and adults

The Muppets travel to Persia in Congregation Beth Hatikvah’s zaniest version yet of the Purim story, to be staged Saturday, March 3rd at 7:00 pm. The original book by Steve Kaflowitz of New Providence features clever parodies of familiar Sesame Street tunes and pop favorites paired with plenty of slapstick and general silliness. The show will delight children and adults of all ages.
The cast, overseen by professional director Karen Cooper of Morristown, includes:
Fozzie Bear (Steve Wetter of Chatham) as King Ahashverosh

Kermit the Frog (Lori Rosen, Summit) as Mordechai

Big Bird (Tammy Resnikoff, Morristown) as Vashti
with special guest appearance by Oscar the Grouch (Marty Meyers, Livingston) as Haman
and featuring Abby Rosen of Summit, Bernadette Traina of Madison, Ryder Levine of Summit, Josh and Sarah Silverberg of Summit.
After the one-hour performance, stay to mingle and enjoy delicious desserts, including hamantaschen, the traditional Purim treat. Everyone is welcome; suggested donation $5 at the door.
