July 4th Decorated Bicycle Parade

Show off some USA pride and take a celebratory lap around the track at Summit's 4th of July Celebration.

Summit, NJ – Children of all ages are invited to participate in the Children’s Decorated Bicycle Parade during Summit’s 69th Annual Fourth of July Celebration to be held on Monday, July 4, 2016 at Soldiers Memorial Field located on Ashland Avenue.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m., children will be asked to line up with their bicycles within their designated corrals: Preschool, Ages 5 – 7, and Ages 8 – 10. The parade will take off shortly after 10:00 a.m. Parents will be welcomed to accompany young children participating in the parade. Winners from each age group will be selected by Celebrity Judges.

Once all parade participants have completed one lap around the gravel track, winners from each age group will be announced on stage. All parade participants will be asked to gather around the stage to cheer on the winners as they accept their specially made July 4th Bicycle Parade trophies.

Pre-registration is not required to enter the 2016 Bicycle Parade. Admission is free.

Following the Parade’s award ceremony, children and their families will be welcomed to dance and sing along with Polka Dot on the main stage. Rides & amusements and the food truck festival will remain open until 1:00 p.m. at which time Soldiers Memorial Field will close for setup for evening festivities.
