Junior League Of Summit Thrift Shop Beach Blast

SUMMIT, NEW JERSEY, May 5, 2014 – The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop, 37 DeForest Ave., is excited to announce its annual Beach Blast Event!  The special sale will be held Thursday, May 22nd from 9:30am to 8:00 pm. The Beach Blast features new and gently used men's, women's, and children's swimwear and beach toys.

The Shop is packed with high quality clothing for men, women, and children, typically 50% less than full retail prices. This year’s selection includes spring and summer fashions for you and your family, including dresses, shorts, t-shirts and much more.  

“We hope people will stop by and see our wonderful summer selections,” said Junior League of Summit President, Colleen Markley, “Summer is just around the corner, so we hope shoppers can come find some great deals for their families. And, at Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop, you are supporting the local community, as all of the Shop’s proceeds go directly back to the Junior League and are reinvested in the form of grants, funding for community projects, and scholarships.”

The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop in Summit was established in 1934 and offers new and gently used clothing and shoes for men, women and children, toys, decorative items for the home, house wares, and furniture that is deeply discounted. It is the primary fundraiser for the Junior League of Summit and has provided the resources for the League’s many grants, projects, programs, and scholarships over the years. Since its inception, the Shop has raised over $3,000,000 to benefit Summit and surrounding communities. The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop is one of only two thrift shops in New Jersey featured in the book, True Prep. The Shop accepts MC, Visa, and debit cards.

The Junior League of Summit is a nonprofit, charitable and educational organization of women who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
