Junior League of Summit Announces

Spring Fling Shopping Event

The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop is hosting its Spring Fling Event Thursday, March 22nd through Saturday, March 24th at 37 DeForest Avenue in Summit. The annual event will feature spring dresses, brightly colored clothing, and other accessories for men, women and children as well as seasonal home décor.

“We are ready to wave goodbye to winter and are very excited to debut our spring inventory which will be refreshed daily during the event. Check out our fantastic deals on new and gently used clothing, accessories and home goods, and also find great prices on end-of-season winter clothing,” said Shop Manager, Marie Avagliano.

“We are so thankful to our community members and Junior League of Summit volunteers whose generous donations have made this possible. Our shop will be fully stocked with beautiful, high quality clothing and housewares for our kick-off to spring event. Not only can you find amazing deals but the proceeds from this event make an immediate impact in our community by funding the League’s philanthropic ventures,” commented League member and Shop Chair, Maria Williams.

The Spring Fling event will run at the Thrift Shop, 37 DeForest Avenue in Summit, Thursday, March 22nd from 9.30 AM to 8.00 PM, Friday, March 23rd from 9.30 AM to 2.30 PM and Saturday, March 24th from 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM.

The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop in Summit was established in 1934 and offers new and gently used clothing and shoes for men, women and children, toys, decorative items for the home, house wares, and furniture that is deeply discounted. It is the primary fundraiser for the Junior League of Summit and has provided the resources for the League’s many grants, projects, programs, and scholarships over the years. The shop graciously accepts donations through the back door of the shop during business hours.

The Junior League of Summit is a nonprofit, charitable and educational organization of women who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
