Junior League of Summit Awards Grant

To Provide Pool Passes to Families

(JLS)

Each year the Junior League of Summit (JLS) awards The Amanda Parrish Block Grant based on certain needs that arise in the community surrounding food insecurity and meeting essential needs. The $500 grant was established in 2017 in honor of Amanda Parrish Block, founder of GRACE, as a tribute to Ms. Block’s tireless efforts, enthusiasm and dedication to address the various needs in our community. This year, the Amanda Parrish Block Grant has been awarded to the Summit Department of Community Programs to provide pool passes to 85 families served by GRACE throughout the month of July. JLS supported an additional 85 pool passes through August for more families to enjoy the City’s family aquatic center.

The Junior League of Summit is a nonprofit, charitable, and educational organization of women who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
