Junior League of Summit Trivia Night Hits Fundraising High

The Junior League of Summit hosted its seventh annual Trivia Night fundraiser on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Turtle Back Zoo.

The Junior League of Summit (JLS) hosted its seventh annual Trivia Night fundraiser on Friday, September 16 at the Turtle Back Zoo. The event was wildly successful, raising $19,900, which will benefit the local area through its many endeavors, including grants, scholarships, and community projects.

Teams persevered through nine rigorous rounds of knowledge-based questions, as well as a physical challenge - all while showing creative flair with costumes and table decor. The trivia games were emceed by Adam Zucker, host of CBS Sports’ College Football Today, and also featured a panel of celebrity guest judges, including: Amanda Block, GRACE Founder (& JLS member), Lillian Chern, Executive Vice President of JLS, and JLS Past Presidents Michelle DeMuth and Colleen Markley.

In the end, “Jersey Shore GTL (Gym, TRIVIA, Laundry)” took home the gold as trivia competition winners. Team “Cirque de JLS” won Best Costumes, Team “The Brainy Bunch” went home with Best Table Decor and Team “White and Her Hi Hos” enthusiastically accepted Best Team Spirit for the seventh year in a row.

“There’s an electricity in the air at Trivia Night that’s hard to duplicate,” remarked JLS President & Event Organizer Rachel Zucker. “Everyone in their extravagant costumes, with their matching table decor, and their energy levels set to high… It's quite thrilling. Trivia Night is a fundraiser, but it’s also a friend-raiser. And after these last few difficult years, we’re so happy to give our friends something to be thrilled about.”

This was the first in-person Trivia Night for JLS since March, 2020. The event was initially set to be held in May, 2022 but was postponed to September due to inclement weather. The JLS is planning a separate fundraiser for February 2023 run by Rachael Gareau.
