Junior League of Summit's GRACE's Closet
Provides Cold Weather Essentials to the Community

The Junior League of Summit’s signature community outreach project, GRACE, provides much more than fresh foods to local families and individuals. GRACE, which stands for Giving and Receiving Assistance for Our Community’s Essentials was founded in 2016 by League member and Summit local, Amanda Parrish Block. In addition to GRACE’s Refrigerator, which provides nutrient dense foods to the community on a weekly basis, GRACE’s Closet connects families identified by school faculty, clergy, social workers and community partners with necessary clothing, household items, academic supplies and sports equipment they require. This winter, GRACE’s closet has provided winter coats, gloves, hats and boots to over 350 local individuals. Donations have been provided by the Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop, League members, community members, and local businesses.
The GRACE program is making an enormous impact in our community and the momentum is strong. We rely on the efforts of volunteers and donations to continue providing these essentials. For more information or to donate to GRACE’s Closet, please contact jlsofficemanager@gmail.com.
