The Junior League of Summit hosted its fourth Annual Trivia Night on February 23rd at Chatham Fish & Game. The event raised approximately $15,000, which will benefit the JLS's Annual Fund, supporting its community grants, scholarships and projects such as GRACE, the League’s signature community outreach project. GRACE stands for Giving and Receiving Assistance for Our Community’s Essentials and its main focus is fighting food insecurity in Summit and our surrounding communities.
The game was judged by Amy Cairns, Chief Communications Officer for the City of Summit & a winner of this year’s Union County Achievement in Excellence Award, Beth Little, Summit City Councilwoman, and Dr. Robert Murwaski, Associate Professor of Physics at Drew University. As in previous years, the evening featured Adam Zucker, host of CBS Sports' College Football Today, as the competition emcee.
"It was such a wonderful night! I'm always astounded by how much creativity people put into this with their elaborate costumes and table decor. Everyone seems to have a great time regardless of whether they're winning. Thanks to all our volunteers and our sponsors, without whom it would not be possible. We're thrilled to be able to enjoy the evening with everyone and know we're raising money for a good cause."
