Kent Place Head of School Named President of The Heads Network

Kent Place School is pleased to announce that its Head of School, Susan C. Bosland, has been named President of The Heads Network.

Kent Place School is pleased to announce that its Head of School, Susan C. Bosland, has been named President of The Heads Network. This non-profit organization is comprised of approximately 600 members, including heads of school and other administrators.

The Heads Network mission states that it “promotes active collaboration and professional growth for independent school heads and leaders who are committed to the education of girls and advancing women’s leadership.” The organization pursues this mission through various programs including an Annual Conference, mentoring seminars for aspiring women leaders and professional networking for all member schools.

“I am honored to serve as President of the Heads Network,” stated Bosland. “As Head of an independent school for girls and young women, it is a privilege to be President of an organization which was founded to inspire young women to lead. I look forward to collaborating with Heads of independent schools from across North America and beyond.”

The Heads Network was founded in 1920 as the National Association of Principals of Schools for Girls (NAPSG). The organization changed its name to The Heads Network in 2013 to reflect its inclusion of coeducational schools.
