On the evening of April 9, 2015, Kent Place School welcomed Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Colonel Jack Jacobs to be interviewed live on the stage at the school’s Hyde and Watson Theatre.
Col. Jacobs received America’s highest award for valor in action, saving the lives of one U.S. adviser and 13 allied soldiers during his first tour in Vietnam. Over the course of more than 20 years of service, Col. Jacobs also earned three Bronze Stars and two Silver Stars. Col. Jacobs currently serves as an analyst for NBC and MSNBC.
The evening began with short videos, describing the significance of the Medal of Honor and the sacrifices men and women make to protect our country. Servicemen and women in attendance were also invited to stand, and the audience applauded them for their service. Then, Col. Jacobs was introduced and invited on stage to be interviewed by Robert F. Jerome, a retired representative from the Medal of Honor Foundation and Medal of Honor Society.
