Knock Out Opioid Abuse Town Hall Series To Be Held Tuesday

The free event will be held at Kean University to shed light on opioid misuse while offering strategies for prevention and awareness.​

UNION, NJ — A Knock Out Opioid Abuse Town Hall will be held on Tuesday at Kean University from 6 to 8 p.m. to shed light on opioid misuse while offering strategies for prevention and awareness.

The Union County Freeholder Board is a co-sponsor of the event with The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, the philanthropic arm of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, New Jersey (BCBSNJ). Along with collaboration from The Partnership for Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ).

Changing attitudes on addiction, reducing stigma and educating communities with information from the US Surgeon General’s recommendations are all part of the solution to reducing and preventing further opioid misuse. The public is invited to this free event to join others in our community in hopes of ultimately reducing and preventing opioid misuse.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and refreshments will be served. The event will be held at Ken University's STEM building auditorium, 1075 Morris Ave., in Union.
