SUMMIT, NJ — As of Thursday morning, the total number of new coronavirus cases in Summit totaled 40. The new coronavirus outbreak in New Jersey and across the nation is having vast impacts in Summit, including the closure of schools and many businesses.
The number of cases of the illness caused by the virus, known as COVID-19, continue to rise and additional measures and closures continue to be announced.

All Summit resident students under the age of 18, regardless of the school or eligibility in the free/reduced program are eligible for breakfast and lunch meals at food pick up locations at Summit High School and Jefferson Elementary between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
