Man Tries Shattering Sliding Door Into Kenilworth Home, Arrested
The Cedar Knolls man was arrested for attempted burglary at a Kenilworth home following a two-month investigation.

KENILWORTH, NJ — A Cedar Knolls man who tried to break into a Kenilworth home in December was arrested.
Kenilworth Police were called to a home burglary in progress on Dec. 26, 2016 by the homeowner.
It was found that the actor tried to break into the home by shattering a rear sliding door and then ran away after realizing the homeowner was home, police report.

The actor, later identified as Ryan McNamee, 32, of Cedar Knolls, ran away before police arrived at the scene.
After a two-month investigation, Detective Ed Paster arrested and charged McNamee on March 2 at the Morris County Jail where he was being held on other unrelated charges.

McNamee was charged with Attempted Burglary and Criminal Mischief. He is set to have a first appearance in the Union County Superior Court at a later date.
