NJDTE Returns to Montclair for Spring Performance!

New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble to Present Six World Premieres at Memorial Auditorium at Montclair State University

SUMMIT, NJ – March 5, 2018 – New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble (NJDTE)’s spring repertory performance, “i Balli di Primavera!,” returns to Montclair for its 49th anniversary season. The acclaimed pre-professional company will present six world premieres by Loni Landon, founder and director of NYC-based Loni Landon Dance Project and experimental choreographic initiative THE PLAYGROUND, Elizabeth Koeppen-Kalosieh of Parsons Dance, contemporary ballet choreographer Breton Tyner-Bryan, and NJDTE Artistic Director Nancy Turano. The production features over 55 talented dancers ages 7-18 from across New Jersey.

“After a successful season of “The Nutcracker” in Montclair this December, enjoyed by over 1500 enthusiastic local arts patrons, we are excited to share the full range of the Ensemble’s innovative repertory with this thriving cultural community. As a hub for forward-thinking arts initiatives, Montclair is a perfect match for NJDTE and our mission of cultivating contemporary, progressive dance programming and training right here in New Jersey,” Turano said.

Repertory favorites “Warriors” by Elizabeth Koeppen-Kalosieh and “Parallel” by Nancy Turano complete the mixed bill program of short ballet, modern and contemporary works. The Ensemble will appear at Memorial Auditorium at Montclair State University, 1 Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ for one performance only, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 3pm. Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for children, students & seniors, and are available at www.njdte.tix.com or by calling 908-273-5500.
