NOAH - inventive but out there!

Director Darren Aronofsky gives us his version of the flood story, adding all sorts of imagined and fantastical elements. The film plays like an action/adventure/fantasy, complete with bloody battles, magic spells, and 40 foot giants made of stone, and if that sort of thing is your cup of tea, you may enjoy NOAH more than we did. The personal struggles are the most interesting part of the film - in this telling, Noah becomes convinced that God wants him to wipe ALL humanity off the face of the earth, saving only the animals, leading to some major conflicts for Noah and his family.
