• Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center board awards $10,000 grant to Summit Area YMCA cancer survivor program (wrnjradio.com) — Summit cancer survivors can enroll in a free 12‑week LIVESTRONG® program at the Summit YMCA this fall, funded by a new $10,000 grant from Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center's advisory board. The research‑based classes, also offered in Berkeley Heights, help adults rebuild strength, confidence, and overall wellness after treatment, and include a temporary YMCA membership with physician clearance required.
   

• Phillipsburg starts 2026 where it ended 2025: Atop the Bellamy & Son Paving Central Jersey Sports Radio Top Ten (cjsportsradio.com) — Summit High's football team opens the 2026 season ranked No. 9 in Central Jersey Sports Radio's Big Central Conference preseason Top Ten after a 9–3 campaign and sectional final appearance. Despite last year's injuries, the Hilltoppers are viewed as a well‑coached, highly competitive squad expected to contend again against strong programs like Phillipsburg and St. Joseph‑Metuchen.

Simon Cancer Center will be staged at Vivid Stage in Summit, bringing powerful patient stories to a local audience.
