Pumpkin Painting In Summit Sunday
The annual event returns to the Summit Farmer's market on Sunday.

SUMMIT, NJ - Feel like getting into the Halloween decorating spirit but don't feel like hacking up a gourd? The Summit Farmer's Market has you covered sans the violence as the annual Pumpkin Painting is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon.
Market visitors of all ages are invited to embrace their creative side and paint a pumpkin or two. Artists should purchase a pumpkin from one of the farmers, then bring it to the Summit Downtown, Inc booth in the center aisle where painting supplies will be provided for free. There will also be sidewalk chalk available. Reusable Summit Farmers Market shopping bags will be on sale on Sunday at the special reduced price of two bags for $3. Summit Downtown, Inc’s newly premiered Summit Gift Cards will also be available for purchase during Pumpkin Painting. Over 100 businesses throughout Summit accept the Gift Card.
Also of note, downtown Trick-or-Treat will be held from 2:30-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Children are invited to don their costumes and venture into downtown Summit after school. Downtown businesses displaying a Trick-or-Treat poster in their window will be waiting to hand out treats. Summit Gift Cards will also be available for purchase at Lyric Park during Trick-or-Treat. Be sure to stop by Regal Bank, located at 360 Springfield Ave., for treats and fun prizes.
