Put on a Happy Face! Bye Bye Birdie is at The Summit Playhouse

Winner of the best musical Tony Award in 1961 and a hit motion picture, Bye Bye Birdie is a fun, timeless musical for the whole family.

The Summit Playhouse will present the classic American musical "Bye Bye Birdie" with performances July 27, 28, August 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. and matinees July 29 & August 5 at 2:00 p.m.

It's the 1960s, Army-bound rock star Conrad Birdie is the talk of the town, and All-American girl Kim MacAfee is chosen for a very public farewell kiss before his departure. Kids, parents, and show biz people hilariously collide as Sweet Apple, Ohio prepares for the big event. With two Broadway runs and a hit motion picture, this classic musical is a fun time for the whole family.

Book by Michael Stewart, Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Lee Adams. The production is directed by John Ertman, with music direction by Natalie Pereira and choreography by Lara Gavagan.
