Road Work Ahead: Here's What Roads To Avoid This Week In Summit

SUMMIT, NJ — If you're driving around Summit this week, you may want to build in a little extra time.

City officials have released the latest road work schedule for the week of June 15-19, with utility work, landscaping projects and other improvements planned on several streets throughout the city. Road closures and detours may be in effect in some areas.

Most work is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., with some projects running until approximately 4:30 p.m.

Monday, June 15

• Passaic Avenue near River Road (Brightview Landscaping), 8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.

• William Street (New Jersey American Water), 8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.

• Ashland Road near Laurel Avenue (New Jersey American Water), 8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.

• Laurel Avenue (PSE&G), 8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.

• Blackburn Road at Blackburn Place (PSE&G), 8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.

• Chatham Road at River Road (PSE&G), 8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.
