The Summit Sharks finished their 2010 summer season with two individual meets last week. The Divisional Meet took place July 26 at East Hanover and the Meet of Champions took place July 29 at New Providence.
Summit, which finished the team season 7-1, swam very well in both meets, with many individuals recording better times in these two meets than they had all season.
Loring Bowen finished first in the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly in both meets, as did Jackie Joffe in the same events. Ryan Sebastian finished first in the races in the Divisional Meet. Matt Samay finished first in the backstroke and the 50 butterfly in the Divisional Meet. Benjamin Campbell finished first in the 25 breaststroke.

It should also be mentioned that the Mixed 200 Freestyle Relay (age 13 and over) finished first at the MOC. The team consisted of Jackie Joffe, Alexandra Riba, Loring Brown, and Dan Byers.

15 and over
Girls: Sarah Runo finished third in the 50 freestyle (34.50). Laurel Repsha finished third in the 50 backstroke (40.03), third in the 50 breaststroke (42.54), and third in the 50 butterfly (36.78).
Boys: Loring Bowen finished first in the 50 freestyle (26.48) and first in the 50 butterfly (27.69). Dan Byers finished third in the 50 freestyle (27.90).
13-14 years old
Girls: Jackie Joffe finished first in the 50 freestyle (29.12) and first in the 50 butterfly (32.09). Alexandra Riba finished second in the 50 freestyle (30.44) and second in the 50 butterfly (32.40). Nicole Bazalar finished third in the 50 backstroke (40.91). Katie Maltese finished second in the 50 breaststroke (44.13).
Boys: Ryan Sebastian finished first in the 50 freestyle (27.40), first in the 50 backstroke (31.00), and first in the 50 butterfly (29.81).
11-12 years old
Girls: Angharad Healey finished third in the 50 butterfly (39.31).
Boys: Matt Samay finished first in the 50 backstroke (38.11) and first in the 50 butterfly (37.40). David Ragan finished second in the 50 freestyle (34.36) and second in the 50 backstroke (48.00). Gil Rubio finished third in the 50 freestyle (36.22) and third in the 50 backstroke (48.64).
9-10 years old
Girls: Katie Samay finished second in the 25 freestyle (17.21) and second in the 25 butterfly (19.28). Leila Esposito finished second in the 50 breaststroke (25.40).
Boys: Conor Fagan finished third in the 25 freestyle (17.06).
8 and under
Girls: Grace Davis finished second in the 25 freestyle (20.53).
Boys: Benjamin Campbell finished first in the 25 breaststroke (26.90). Zowie Vukasinovic finished second in the 25 backstroke (27.36) and third in the 25 breaststroke (29.05). Connor Demm finished third in the 25 backstroke (27.43). Will Hedges finished second in the 25 butterfly (23.73).

15 and over
Boys: Loring Bowen finished first in the 50 freestyle (25.25) and 50 butterfly (27.23).
13-14 years old
Girls: Jackie Joffe finished first in the 50 freestyle (29.44) and first in the 50 butterfly (31.93). Alexandra Riba finished second in the 50 freestyle (30.63) and second in the 50 butterfly (32.10).
11-12 years old
Boys: Matt Samay finished fourth in the 50 backstroke (37.22) and fifth in the 50 butterfly (36.78).
9-10 years old
Boys: Conor Fagan finished fifth in the 25 backstroke (19.78).
8 and under
Boys: Benjamin Campbell finished second in the 25 breaststroke (24.31).
