Student/Partner Alliance Elects Two New Board Members
Robert Fowler and Father Robert Sandoz, OFM
Student/Partner Alliance (S/PA) is pleased to announce the addition of two new Board Members – Rob Fowler and Father Bob.
Summit residents Rob Fowler and his wife, Connie, have been Student/Partner Alliance mentors and partners since 2014. Rob is a financial advisor with FCG Advisors in Chatham, NJ. He started his career in financial services 33 years ago on Wall Street. Rob holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He has served on the Board of Recreation in Summit and is currently a member of the finance committee for New Eyes for the Needy in Millburn. He brings deep financial knowledge within the private sector and experience in the local non-profit community.
Father Robert J Sandoz, OFM currently serves as the President of Cristo Rey Newark High School, one of the schools in the Cristo Rey Network. Father Bob, as he is known in the community, seeks to be a partner with all who want to bring strength and vitality to Greater Newark. Father Bob brings long standing experience working in urban education. He is currently running an innovative method of education at Cristo Rey. By providing a rigorous program in academics, valuable work experiences and a strong value-based culture, the students are well equipped to take their place in college and after their graduation be positive, productive employees. The work study program allows the students to make tangible connections between working and learning that they would not otherwise get in a conventional classroom.
