Summit Business Hit Twice With Thefts: Blotter
A theft was also reported from a Summit home and car recently, police say.

SUMMIT, NJ — A Summit businessowner reported being the victim of thefts twice this month. The DeForest Avenue business reported on April 13 at 9:32 a.m. that a suspect entered the store on April 2 and April 9 removing large amounts of items. The theft on April 2 was for an unknown amount of items that had been removed from the shelving.
The incident on April 9 was interrupted with the suspect leaving behind bags of items she was attempting to remove, which were valued at approximately $1,642.18, Summit Police report.

On April 12: Conor T. Breen, 24, of Essex Fells was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Breen was released with a pending court date.
On April 12: Christian Andujar, 33, of Newark was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Andujar was released with a pending court date.

On April 13: Robert E. Ngiudjol, 26, of Newark was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and three contempt of court warrants from Newark Police Department and Orange Police Department. Nguidjol was released with a pending court date.
On April 15 at 7:30 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a bicycle on Union Place. The victim reported having secured the bicycle to a drainage pipe outside of a business on Union Place. A short time later, the victim returned to discover the bicycle, and a helmet missing. The bicycle was described as bright orange with black lettering, full-sized men’s specialized seven-speed mountain bike with two circular lights fixed to the front and rear of the bicycle. The bicycle also had a “Hilltop Bicycles” sticker on the frame. The helmet was described as bright orange with a large crack in it. Total value for the stolen items was approximately $550.
On April 17 at 12:30 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft from an Ashwood Avenue residence. The victim reports the incident occurred sometime on April 13 when a pocket-sized Hello Kitty mirror was removed from the residence. The item was valued at approximately $5, however had significant sentimental value to the owner.
On April 19 at 7:56 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft from a motor vehicle at a business on River Road. The locked vehicle had the driver side window smashed out.
