Puzella took over the business with her sister Elisa Brooks 11 years ago. Both are born and raised in Summit and their family is the fourth generation to live in the City.

Incorporating their family in the business, Brooks has her twin boys, Zachary and Jack, help out along with Brooks' and Puzella’s mother. Jack has autism so the shop does a lot of outreach and awareness through the store.

Since taking over, the Summit sisters carry more personal accessories and entertaining accessories. Non-edible gift items are offered and the shop also caters to teens. The shop has also grown their selection of confectionary items.

“There is much more in store than ever before,” Puzella said. “Whether it be hand made truffles, assorted chocolate, gummy items, specialty items, seasonal items, we are really expanding.”

With Valentine’s Day, Sweet Nothings has an assortment of treats available to purchase for anyone’s loved ones.

Hand crafted truffles, chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate s'mores called “Love You S'more” and even custom-filled heart shaped boxes are available. The boxes can be filled with your loved ones favorite candies so you don’t have to leave behind pieces you don’t like.

“What sets us apart is that we truly love what we are doing and are very happy doing it,” Puzella said. “We have created a happy environment for our customers and have fun and think that comes through.”
