Summit Diner Makes Top 10 Old-School Restaurants: Report
NJ.com ranked New Jersey's greatest old-school eateries and the Summit Diner made number nine.

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Diner is one of the top 10 "old-school" restaurants in New Jersey according to a report from NJ.com. According to the methodology used in the rankings, the eateries are not ranked by the quality of food, more about how well they fit the definition of "old-school."
In this case, the report says that it's all about a look, an attitude. If someone visits an old-school restaurant today and comes back years later nothing would have changed.
The Summit Diner, ranked ninth out of 35 entries, made the list because of it's barrel roof, wood paneled interior, booth seating and coat racks set in the heart of downtown Summit. The report states that the finest feature of the establishment is that the sight, sound and smell of food cooking is an arm's length away.
