SUMMIT, NJ — The Summit Diner was named as the single best diner in Union County by nj.com.
One diner was selected from each of New Jersey's 21 counties. The judging was based on food, atmosphere, service and more, according to nj.com.
"If I had to take a diner first-timer to a diner in New Jersey, it would most likely be the Summit diner, the state's oldest, a time-warp wonder with its curved roof, wood paneling, padded booths and a grill where youi can see, smell and practically touch your food," the review stated.

Recommended is the Taylor ham, egg and cheese slider and cup of coffee. Runner-up in Union County are the New Prestige Diner in New Providence and Tropicana Diner in Elizabeth.
