Summit Honors Veteran Officers: Henry Ludena

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police Department is honoring officers who served in the armed forced for Veterans Day and one of those being highlighted is Officer Henry Ludena.

This week, the Summit Police Department will be sharing some officers bios who have previously served in different branches of the military:

Officer Henry Ludena, Petty Officer Third Class - United States Navy

• 1997-2001 - US Navy
• Stationed in Norfolk, Va.
• Served aboard the USS San Jacinto, a CG56 guided missile cruiser
• 1998 Served in Operation Desert Shield

Commendations

• Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal
• 2 Navy "E" Ribbons (Battle Effectiveness Awards) - Navy Unit Commendation
• Navy Good Conduct Medal

"Thank you, Officer Ludena, for your bravery and service to our country," Summit Police said on social media.
