Summit salon to help support those fighting breast cancer
Proceeds from haircuts, blowouts, on Oct. 29 to used to provide wigs, breast prosthetics, bras and treatments

SUMMIT, NJ – OCTOBER 2018 – A local salon is joining forces with Atlantic Health System’s Overlook Medical Center to help support women in their fight against breast cancer.
Ateliers 113, located at 113 Summit Avenue, will generously donate all proceeds from haircuts and blowouts provided from 10:00am-6:00pm on Monday, October 29, to benefit The Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Overlook Medical Center.
Coordinated by the Overlook Foundation, the 501(c)(3) charity which raises funds for the non-profit hospital, the proceeds of the event will be used to provide wigs, breast prosthetics, bras and/or integrative medicine treatments for women in need.

Salon owner Michelle Azouz said that the fundraiser was inspired by her experiences working with a female clientele.
“Throughout the years, we’ve served women who are in the midst of treatment, are survivors, or have lost loved ones to breast cancer. Getting to know these women and their struggles was the driving force for this fundraiser,” Azouz said. “My staff and I recognize how serious a threat this is to women, and want to do our part to support them as best we can.”
