Summit Senior Athlete Signs Letter Of Intent
Oak Knoll's Caitlin McHale is headed to Bucknell University.

SUMMIT, NJ - Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child senior Caitlin McHale is headed to Bucknell University after signing an early National Letter of Intent to compete at the collegiate level last Wednesday.
The student-athletes officially signed letters of intent – or have become committed to the admissions process in the case of Ivy League institutions – during a ceremony involving members of the athletic department, faculty, staff, administration and parents.
McHale will be playing lacrosse and officials noted McHale has been elected as the class representative of the Athletic Council for grades 10-12, a four-year volunteer for the Bridges Outreach program serving homeless in New Jersey and New York, and a block coordinator for the Summit Luminary Fund for four years, benefiting her hometown by selling and displaying luminaries on Christmas Eve. McHale has also participated in the Forensics Club, as well as worked as a coach for Building Blocks Lacrosse.

Athletic Director Kelly Childs applauded the Royals, like Andersen, for being talented members of the Oak Knoll community on and off the playing surface.
“Many of you have been tremendous leaders on this campus and currently hold some of the highest leadership positions,” Childs said. “Others have spent countless hours doing community service and pursuing other passions. This is the true mark of a student-athlete and your commitment to each other and serving our greater community will help you greatly at the next level.”
