Tatlock Field Turf Replacement Is Underway In Summit

SUMMIT, NJ — The replacement of the 11-year old artificial turf on Tatlock Field is underway in Summit.

This is the final field to undergo a turf replacement in the City. The cost of the project is $434,473 and was approved by the City during its council meeting in February.

The new turf will have sewn, marked lines for football, lacrosse, and soccer. It is intended to reduce maintenance work by the Department of Community Services Parks Division.

The replacement is on schedule to be completed by the start of summer training for the fall sports season, the City posted Thursday.

Funding for this project was approved in the 2016 Capital Budget and included in the Field Restoration Fund.
