These Are The Safest Cities In New Jersey, According To SafeWise
One Bergen County town has taken the top slot in this year's Safewise.com ranking.

NEW JERSEY — River Vale, the easternmost town in Bergen County's Pascack Valley, was named the safest town in New Jersey this year, according to the latest State of Safety in America ranking from Safewise.com.
The report named the safest cities in the country based on crime rates and other data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
River Vale is located along Lake Tappan near the border with New York State.

Sparta Township in Sussex County came in second place, moving up seven notches from number nine last year.
Almost all of the towns in the top 10 are in North Jersey, except for Monroe Township.
