Liberty Hall Museum is pleased to present A Bon Voyage Luncheon on Thursday, April 10, 2014.
The luncheon is themed to compliment Liberty Hall Museum’s newest exhibit, Bon Voyage! 200 Years of Luxury Travel which opens April 1. During the luncheon, guests will be treated to actor portrayals of events and correspondence between members of the Kean family during their travels. The event also boasts a wide array of boutiques with unique gifts, a tour of the historic home and a ticket auction.
Built in 1772 by William Livingston, New Jersey’s first elected governor, the Victorian style mansion is a treasure trove of historic riches. Along with forgotten letters from George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, Liberty Hall also houses extensive collections of antique furniture, ceramics, textiles, toys and tools owned by seven generations of the Livingston and Kean families. Combined, they tell the story of a way of life that has vanished from the Garden State. Generations of artifacts illustrate the history of a developing nation and its politics, global commerce, social standards and family values. The Museum provides a unique view of the challenges faced by the inhabitants of Liberty Hall while showing what life was like during those times.
Proceeds are to benefit Liberty Hall Museum in the restoration and preservation of New Jersey history.

Event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with luncheon and portrayals at noon.
Tickets for Bon Voyage are $75 per person.
