Two Summit Council Candidates To Appear At Virtual Forum
Three women are grappling for two council seats. The forum will focus on the two candidates for 1st Ward. Submit questions via the link.

SUMMIT, NJ — While the presidential election is grabbing the political headlines these days, local races can affect residents' lives in many ways, including the taxes you pay and the streets you travel (to get to work to pay those taxes). Summit residents can vote for two candidates for the 1st Ward Summit Common Council seat on Nov. 3 (see this story from summer).
On Oct. 3, the League of Women Voters of Berkeley Heights, New Providence and Summit will host a virtual forum featuring the candidates for the seat: incumbent Councilmember Susan Hairston (a Democrat) and Eileen Kelly (a Republican).
You can find your ward by address using this list.
