Veggies, Fruits From NJ Farm Weekly, Summit CSA

New CSA chapter open for application for 2014 season

Note: We had our first successful pick-up last week when we and about 20 families received spinach, arugula, tomatoes, asparagus, kale and a big bottle of honey, rosemary and peppermint plants among others. Pickups on Thursdays 3-7 PM. Here is a link to the weekly content. Fees are prorated when you sign up now. Feel free to contact me or Trish at Alstede (908) 879-7189.

Who wants to enjoy produce from a local NJ farm and pay less? I am starting a new Community Supported Agricutlure (CSA) chapter here so Summit residents can pick up fresh fruits and vegetables from the lovely Alstede Farm in Chester at my house weekly. For less than $20 a week, you can receive Personal share in a box filled with seasonal hearty veggies and fruits for 31 weeks, with Half and Full shares also available for families.

We did it last year and really love it. It is a healthier way of living and my children love helping prepare the vegetables and fruits for our daily meals. It really engages the family and brings back the concept of eating at home together.

The new season starts very soon. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at SummitCSA@gmail.com
