Visit the Little Free Library!

I must start this off with a shameless plug for our very own Little Free Library.

Have you heard of the Little Free Library movement?  It is a worldwide movement where people create small lending libraries to open to the community.  We are lucky enough to have two registered LFLs here in Summit.   One on Pine Grove Avenue that is beautiful and I highly recommend, and the other in my front yard.

Ours is made from a repurposed oversized mailbox.   It is just to the right inside the fence at 21 Baltusrol Place.   The mailbox is decorated with Children's Lit favorites and is filled with children's and young adult titles of all reading levels.   Each season we feature different themes, as well as keeping stocked on other favorites (Junie B. Jones and everything Star Wars seem to be a favorite with the grade school crowd).  Currently we are featuring books of all levels about Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day and winter.   Just a hop, skip and a jump from Jefferson School and Jefferson Primary Center, the LFL is a fun and free mini-adventure to take with your kids.

Stop by and "Take a Book, Leave a Book" anytime!  Learn more about the Little Free Libraries at littlefreelibrary.org and LIKE our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LFLSummit
