Afghan Ambassador to Speak at FDU
Event is open to the public and will feature a question and answer session.
Ambassador Zahir Tanin, Afghanistan's permanent representative to the United Nations, will speak at 's Teaneck campus in April, the University announced today.
“Afghanistan and its Neighborhood” is the topic of the April 6 discussion, the University said. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the Student Union Building at the River Road campus.
FDU's Office of Global Learning, working with the Ambassador’s Club at the United Nations, is presenting the event as part of the United Nations Pathways Ambassador Forum, a press release said.

Before being appointed permanent representative to the UN, Tanin held several positions at BBC News. He began his career in 1980 as a journalist in Kabul.
