Car Identified In Teaneck Christmas Day Hit-And-Run: Police
Steven J. Leitgeb, 59, died as a result of the crash.

Police have identified the vehicle that struck and killed a Teaneck resident Christmas night.
Steven J. Leitgeb, 59, died after a black Honda Pilot crashed into him at about 6:47 p.m. Dec. 25, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
Leitgeb was crossing the intersection of Cedar Lane and Garrison Avenue when he was struck, Grewal said.

Leitgeb was found lying the roadway when police arrived on scene. he was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he died as a result of the injuries, authorities said.

Police detectives determined that the Honda Pilot was made between 2002 and 2005, Gerwal said. The vehicle continued east on Cedar Lane and then south on Palisade Avenue. The car’s front passenger bumper, hood, and windshield may be damaged, according to Gerwal.
