Cause Of Fatal Teaneck Fire Is Undetermined: Prosecutor
Breaking: Gerald and Rosanne Ryan, both 81, could not get out of the Sherman Avenue house after the Sunday morning fire.

TEANECK, NJ — The exact cause of the fatal fire that killed two elderly township residents is undetermined due to the extensive fire damage their home suffered, authorities announced Monday.
The fire does not appear suspicious, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.
Part of Gerald and Rosann Ryan's home at 130 Sherman Avenue apparently collapsed after the fire started at about 6:30 a.m., according to NorthJersey.com.

A neighbor said in the NorthJersey.com report that he thought he heard an explosion come from the Ryan's home.
Roseanne Ryan suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and uses oxygen tanks, neighbors said in the report.

Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Arson Squad and Arson Task Force, the Teaneck Police and Fire departments and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation investigated the fire and found the couple's remains.
