- What was the most memorable experience from your senior year? Being nominated for drum major. I’m fully deaf in my left ear, but despite that, people believed that I was good enough for this leadership role.
- What was one of the best classes you took while in high school and why? My physics classes my junior and senior year. Taking these two classes basically showed me the mechanics of engineering, which is what I want to pursue in college.
- What advice do you have for next year’s seniors? I’d say to just make the most of the year. This will be your last year of high school and also your last year of other things like sports. Make the most out of it because if you do, you’ll remember it forever.
- What will you miss the most about Teaneck High School? I would say the diversity of the school. All of my best friends are different races than I am. And in high school, I can connect with anyone of a different race and religion. It’s a priceless moment that many people don’t get to experience.
- Who helped you to get where you’re at in life? My ninth-grade global history honors teacher Mr. Betances. From the first day that I knew him, he demanded hard work from his students. He showed me that high school isn’t something you can take lightly and that if you don’t put in the hard work you’ll fail miserably. He said this on my first day in high school. With him telling me that, I put all my hard work into academics and everything else that I did.
