- What was the most memorable experience from your senior year? It was around Valentine’s Day, and some students filled a jar with Hershey’s Kisses and put it in the Student Center for anyone to guess how many chocolates were inside. My calculus class decided we would try to use calculus to figure out exactly how many chocolates were in the jar by measuring the jar and taking into account the empty spaces and size and weight of the chocolates. But, our luck ran out before we could do that because someone else in the school actually guessed the correct number.
- What will you miss the most about Teaneck High School? The unique bond between all the students. I have fun with everyone. There are no cliques; students can go from group to group and fit in.
- What advice do you have for next year’s seniors? Seniors often tell juniors what classes to take or what classes are too hard, but I think juniors should keep an open mind and not allow someone to talk them out of taking certain classes. Also, don’t slack off just because it’s your senior year.
- What are you looking forward to the most about college? It sounds funny, but the dorm and the food. I went to stay overnight at the university, and I loved the Mongolian stir fry that’s available every Wednesday. Also, I look forward to the freedom. Ithaca is close enough that I can still visit my family but far enough that I can enjoy college life.
- Who helped you to get where you’re at in life? My family, especially my mom. She encouraged me to overcome any challenges. She’s tough and would scold me if I didn’t do my best, but she wouldn’t scold me a lot. It was enough to make me think about how I should work harder.
