Hailed for her superstar qualities, Taiwanese pianist Ching-Yun Hu is a winner of the 2009 Concert Artists Guild International Competition and, in 2008, captured the top prize and the Audience Favorite Prize at the 12th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv. Her debut CD, “Ching-Yun Hu Plays Chopin” was released in 2011 and was the Golden Melody nominee for “Best Performance” and the winner of the “Best Classical Album of the Year.” Ching-Yun will perform Beethoven’s “Sonata in A Major, Op. 101,” Chopin’s “Rondo in E-Flat Major, Op. 16,” and “Polonaise in A-Flat Major, Op. 53, Heroic, “ Scriabin’s “Nocturnes, Op. 9,” Ravel’s “Gaspard de la Nuit,” and Strauss/Schultz-Evler’s “Arabasques on the Beautiful Blue Danube.”
