October 5th through December, 9:30am-11:00am the first Tuesday and third Sunday of each month.
The Teaneck Creek Conservancy and Bergen County Audubon Society have partnered for a series of Bird Walk and Talk field trips. These walks will be part-lesson, and part hike in the forested freshwater wetlands of Teaneck Creek Park - a premium rest stop in the eastern flyway for migrating birds. Bird watching is an easy, fun, and uncomplicated way to spend quality time outdoors. With little or no equipment you can learn to identify by sight and sound the birds that live in your neighborhood. Learn about bird behaviors and gain an appreciation for the habitats we share. All walks are free and open to the public. Bring binoculars. A limited number of sets are provided by BC Audubon. To register, call Don Torino (201)636-4022.
