The Teaneck Public Library through its English-As-A-Second Language Program (ESL) is offering its patrons an opportunity to reach out to a neighbor, friend or resident who needs help learning English.
A free four-session workshop is being offered to train volunteers in the skills necessary to tutor a foreign-born adult in conversational English.
Once trained, the tutor will be matched with a student to be tutored at the Teaneck Library once a week at a mutually convenient time.
The library asks for a commitment of at least one year from the tutor.
