Schools

The Conversation Continues.... Movie and Discussion

The Teaneck Board of Education and their community partner, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc.--Bergen/Passaic Chapter, invite anyone interested in positive change in our public schools to participate in an ongoing community-wide dialogue about how we can work together as a community to improve the quality of our schools.

The conversation continues this Thursday. After screening excerts from "The Inconvenient Truth about Waiting For Superman," we will break out into small discussion groups targeting topics such as more teaching and less testing, culturally relevant curriculum, expansion of pre-kindergarten and early intervention programs, parent/teacher empowerment leadership and equitable funding for all schools. There is no cost to attend this event. Feel free to bring your own refreshments.
