Understanding the Immigration Reform Debate Series: "Welcoming the Stranger"

Juan Pablo Morales Estrada, a native of Guatemala, musician, forensic anthropologist and social activist, and his wife Kim Watson, a botanist at the New York Botanical Garden who has done field work in Guatemala, will present "Welcoming the Stranger."

Music, video and conversation will be used to look at the personal aspects of the current immigration debate.

Estrada will share his knowledge of the impact of U.S. policies on the people of Guatemala.

The two will also look at the recommendations on immigration policy reform that are part of the Unitarian Universalist campaign called "Standing on the Side of Love."
