CAPTURING THE BLOOM: PHOTOGRAPHING FLOWERS
I'll be conducting a workshop on photographing flowers at the Art Center of Northern New Jersey, 250 Center St., New Milford on Saturday, March 5 from 10:00am-2:45 pm. The fee is $90 (plus$10 material fee). Contact the Art Center of Northern New Jersey at (201) 599-2992 to register.
This four-hour workshop will address the fundamentals of photographing flowers. The basic concepts of photography, including equipment selection, will be discussed. The emphasis will be on the use of depth of field, composition, and lighting to create esthetically pleasing and artistically creative images. Participants will then have the opportunity to put what they learned into practice, by photographing flowers in a studio setting. They are encouraged to bring their digital camera and lenses, including a micro lens if available, a tripod and flash and also prints of their own work to the class.
